Agatha Christie meets Titanic. Two young women take a berth on a luxury cruise liner going from Spain to somewhere in South America right after WWII. The older sister is getting married en route to a member of the ship owning family. When a passenger goes overboard, the bored younger sister decided she can do a better job solving the crime than the jaded ship’s detective. Meanwhile, there’s a storm coming….
As in many Spanish TV shows, production values are high — the ship decor captures ocean liners at the peak of their exclusivity, just before commercial air travel opened transatlantic travel to a wider audience. And the clothes are great! It’s a lot of fun to watch, especially if you don’t take it too seriously – the actors surely aren’t.
